Local Project to educate vulnerable young road users
Local Solicitors Bond Pearce have teamed up with National Road Safety Charity BRAKE and local schools in a bid to tackle the level of deaths and injuries amongst young people on Devon & Cornwall's roads. Pupils at Landulph Primary School all attended inter active presentations on how to cross the road safely on Thursday the 19 June followed by practical road safety training.
The presentation was delivered by Juliette Clarke and Craig Butler who have been trained by the FedEx and BRAKE Road Safety Academy, BRAKE'S Flagship Community Education Project, funded by Express Delivery Company FedEx. The presentation covered the dangers they face on the road, how to cross the road safely and the importance of belting up in cars.
Craig and Juliette plan to deliver a more hard hitting presentation as well to 15- 24 year olds. Craig & Juliette volunteered to deliver education to young road users and young drivers following their experience in having to deal with the aftermath and terrible impact of road crashes on those injured and their families
