In fact road traffic accidents such as car accidents, motorbike accidents and cycling accidents account for between 40 and 50 per cent of all head injuries. They are also often the cause of the most severe brain injury. Of particular concern is the fact that 20 per cent of all head injuries in children are caused by cycling injuries. Cyclists who wear helmets are 85 per cent less at risk of head injury. Many more suffer less severe but nevertheless significant injuries that do not appear in the official statistics. Although improved car design and traffic calming measures have contributed to a reduction in fatalities, our roads are becoming ever more congested and dangerous.
Our extensive experience of representing road accident victims has taught us that even a relatively 'minor' injury can be seriously debilitating and have far reaching consequences. Many do not become aware that they have sustained a whiplash injury until several hours after the accident; often not until the following morning when the symptoms onset. Seemingly minor injuries often cause a disproportionate amount of discomfort, distress, inconvenience and worry; quite apart from the financial loss. One of our roles is to ensure that these and other factors are taken fully into account into account.
At Bond Pearce we aim to minimise as much as possible the disruption and distress caused by the accident and your injuries by:
- Dealing with your claim promptly and efficiently
- Identifying any need for treatment, therapy or rehabilitation, and in appropriate cases claiming early funding
- Ensuring that you recover maximum compensation
- Removing much of the worry and distress of asserting your right to full compensation
- Providing peace of mind by offering a comprehensive 'win - no fee / loose - no fee' service
It is only possible to recover compensation if some other party is wholly or partly responsible for your loss or injury. Sometimes it will be obvious who is at fault, at other times a variety of possible causes will complicate the issues; this is where your solicitor's professional experience will pay dividends.
