Sarah TawseAssociate

When her husband suffered a serious injury, Sarah Tawse learned at first hand the vital role only the law can play in securing justice and helping victims put their lives back together. "That's my priority," Sarah said "And I think personal experience of my husband's injury gives me an empathy with clients that sets me apart from many lawyers."

Sarah worked for the official inquiry team investigating the Ladbroke Grove rail crash before moving to the Bond Pearce office in her home city of Plymouth.

She graduated from Plymouth University and her local experience includes dealing with the city's biggest employer - the Royal Navy dockyard - where Sarah has uncovered many disturbing cases of injury caused by the employer, the Ministry of Defence.

Many concern deafness. "These cases are shocking, especially since the dangers of noise in the workplace were known as long ago as the early 1960s," Sarah said. "The damage can include tinnitus as well as deafness, and the victims worked - often with no protection - throughout the dockyard on re-fits to warships and submarines."

When not onboard her sailing boat, she spends her spare time decorating - enjoying good food and wine, and recovers with regular runs on Dartmoor.
