Some sailors come home from the sea badly scarred by their adventures. Like the submariner whose case for damages was won by Juliette Clarke. He was on his watch in a submarine compartment that was accidentally flooded. He almost drowned, and the narrow escape left him with post-traumatic stress disorder.

And a 31 yr old Royal Marine reserve who fell during a rope manoeuvre which left him a ventilator dependent tetraplegic. He received a record breaking payout thanks to Juliette's work. In order to get him immediate help she arranged for a £790,000 interim payment which enabled him to find suitable alternative accommodation so that he could get out of hospital. He received £7.3million in total which was at the time the highest ever compensation award for a spinal cord injured person.

Juliette also secured damages for a lieutenant whose service career was ended by back injuries that she incurred in a fall aboard an aircraft carrier at sea.

And danger lurks for weekend sailors as well as Royal Navy personnel. Juliette, one of Bond Pearce's personal injury specialists, has unearthed a potential danger in moorings at marinas around British coastal waters used by yachts and motor boats.Juliette Clarke

On land, Juliette is equally painstaking. She exposed contradictions in the police account of a road accident in a remote country lane. And she won a settlement for a taster employed at a bakery who was made ill by the cream in an apple turnover.

The outdoors attracts Juliette when she isn't working, enjoying sailing, walking and cycling with her two daughters.
