Accidents with emergency vehicles
All road users owe a duty of care to other road users - including drivers of emergency vehicles such as ambulances, fire engines and police cars. However the nature of their job means that they some times need to drive at speed and so other road users must be alert to the sound of sirens or flashing lights.
In some cases where an accident with an emergency vehicle occurs then blame is apportioned. For example in our case of John who was turning right at traffic lights and was hit by an ambulance coming in the opposite direction.
If you think you may have a case for compensation contact us and seek specialist advice from one of our road traffic accident lawyers. You can either fill out our online enquiry form, request a call back or call us direct on 0800 915 4650.
John was still able to bring a claim but he was held partially to blame for the accident as he should have been aware as to the sirens.
In another case, Ann was able to claim fully for the accident when a police car collided into the side of her sending her car into a wall. Bond Pearce have experience of acting for those injured by emergency vehicles, and as in Ann's case we are able to get to the issues quickly and ensure appropriate compensation
